Center Stage Turns It Up With Some Sandy Cohen

If you’re like me, you enjoy two things: Peter Gallagher and movies about dancing.

This weekend is the premiere of Center Stage: Turn It Up. The The OC’s favorite dad stars as one of the teachers at a prestigious dance academy. Does Gallagher do any dancing himself? The trailer refuses to say. But if he is anything like my teachers in high school, the answer is no. (I took a lot of science classes) Here is the preview.

My favorite part is when the dude in the trailer claims to be a “ballerino” (Half ballerina, half rhino, all deadly)

“Center Stage: Turn It Up” premieres Tomrrow night at eight on Oxygen.

Have you ever looked at a hard-working, blue-collar guy on the job, and thought, man, I wish there was a sexier, chick version of that outfit?

Well, you aren’t alone.

On Halloween night, you are almost certainly going to come across at least one woman dressed as a scantily-clad version of a normal blue-collar worker.

But which professions get the shaft? Cops and firemen are common, but what about gardeners, mechanics, or cable guys?

After the jump, a rundown on my study (aka, using google) of the skilled trades popular enough to sexify.

Youtube has teamed up with Wes Craven for Halloween, presenting 24 videos, shorts and spoofs handpicked by the Scream director himself–like the spoof of Jessica Alba’s The Eye above. Glad to know that one of America’s masters of horror has a good sense of humor.

Check out the list here. Or just read about it on the Youtube blog here.

The WBOO! Halloween Costume Olympics

Think your Sarah Palin costume will make the best political statement of the day? I don’t think so.

In fact, I would have to say that MetroDad’s costume for his four-year old daughter could win ANY Halloween contest this year. He’s dressing her up as an underage Chinese Olympic gymnast.

I wish I had thought of this.

I also wish I was four years old.

Happy Halloween from The WB! Or should I say, The WBOO?

We’re all dressed up to the nines here (photos will come later) but here’s a sneak preview of Kathleen, our Scheduling Director, who has taken the ROFLcat phenomenon to human form.

Banker Cat, here we come!

The WBOO! Worst SAW Kills

I think I just lost my appetite.

IGN Movies has compiled a list of the top 10 deaths in the SAW horror movie franchise.

Read it if you want to relive your memories or want to avoid ever seeing these films but want to know what happens. Personally, I couldn’t get past SAW II.

Or if you just want to get in the Halloween spirit, check it out.

Proceed at your own risk.

Blech!

Countdown to Halloween night begins NOW!

But more importantly, how much candy can you fill in a pillowcase?

MyScienceProject.org
reveals that you can fit up to 45 lbs in a single pillowcase—and it’s eco-friendly, too. So pull out those reusable pillowcases and hit the streets!

Hollywood Declares Themselves…Again

The last time Declare Yourself released a big video on YouTube, they tried to use a little reverse psychology. (You see, they were saying “Don’t vote” but what they meant was “vote!”) This time, they give up the pretense. Pretty much every celebrity (except for some reason Heidi Montag) is in this, and they want you to go out and vote.

I kind of miss the days when celebrities would actually threaten your life. Diddy, where are you?

The WBOO! A Vampire Speaks!

David Boreanz of Angel fame has spoken out, and he wants everyone to know that he likes ‘em “cold and blonde.” Hmm…is he talking about his former co-star, Sarah Michelle Gellar?

Sorry, folks, but he’s talking about BEER. David is featured on the November/December issue of DRAFT as a lover of fine beers and kegs. Or something like that.

Check out some highlights after the cut!

The WBOO! Halloween Revenge

MentalFloss.com is inspiring me to have babies just so I can dress them up in embarrassing and somewhat demeaning Halloween costumes.

Look! It’s so cute! I mean, babies are so plump, small and otherwise useless, so why can’t we have a few laughs before they start learning how to talk and being super annoying and bratty?

Pets are included, too. Check out the site here.
