Mathieu,
I have problems with blending, I can’t seem to get it right. I keep trying to do smokey eyes but I just end up looking like a raccoon. Is there a technique or a brush I should use? I’ve been using a Beauty Strokes Line and Define brush and Loreal Hip Metallic shadow duo to try to get this look. I’ve even tried using Milani shadows to get this look. Is it the brush, or my technique?

Hey Mathieu, I’m a boy who wears make up as well! Sometimes I find my mouth buried in a dark mess trying to contour my cheeks and neck. I want to get the appearance of a chiseled jawbone and cheekbones. It always just ends up looking like a dark stain across my face. HELP PLEASE!

Hi Mathiew,
First of all… You are the best, I really love all your tutorials and little surprises. Here is my question: My boyfriend and I moved in together and even though he knows I am a make up freak I want to have a “natural” look to have around the house when we are just cohabitating. The problem is I love make up and now that I am living with him I dont want to exaggerate on the daily lounging around the house make up. I want to keep it real and be myself and “Myself” involves some MAC. Any ideas?
Note: Holler at your girl in myspace. I am in your friends list. Show me some luv!
Thanks a bunch,
Maite

Hey girl hey,
Love you to death, btw.
Do you have any tips for helping keep eyeliner on the water line? I use waterproof eyeliner and sometimes some black eyeshadow powder on top. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

hey!!
SO, I watched your video on contouring - and i’ve got a bit of a problem… I’m mostly happy with my nose, with one exception…I have thise HUGE ball on the end, and when I try to smooth it out, it just looks weird. is there any special way to get the ball to look even with the bridge of my nose?
thanks a bunch!

Here’s my question. Mathieu, why are you so fabulous?
November 19th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Since you know - the economy is not so great right now - but some things that I need are expensive — MAKEUP etc.
For example - I have a shiny forehead problem and I sometimes use Dermadoctor oil control serum which ranges from the $40 and up. I also tried a primer - specifically photoshop by smashbox which again is in that price range too. What do you recommend I use for my shiny issues.

I always seem to be in a hurry in the morning — and I sometimes do my makeup at work. I carry a large zip loc back with all my make up. Some of the people at work look at me like — okay she’s always putting on make up or — she has too much make up — although I don’t wear too much make up. What can I change to make it soo obvious?

Hey Sweetie!! Here is a question…I have a problem with finding the perfect makeup that will give me the natural look nothing that will stand out too much..how should i decide what products would be best to use for my skin type?
November 24th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
hey honey! i have dark circles and kind of uneven skin tone. How do i achieve a more even look without putting on like a pound of makeup. I like looking natural, but it’s hard to do that and still look fabulous! Also, how can i get my eyeliner and makeup to look at the end of the day, like it did when I applied it that morning? One of the reasons I hate wearing makeup is because by the end of the day, my eyeliner is a little smudges and my foundation/powder hasn’t stayed put. Help!? Please!?

one more thing. i have dry skin, what can i do to prevent my skin from flaking because of my makeup drying it out. I’ve tried some moisturizers, but they only alleviate the problem temporarily. What do you suggest?

Hey, girl, hey! I was thinking of trying Rihanna’s “Disturbia” look for New Year’s Eve. Do you think glitter is way over? Any suggestions for applying glitter? The pigments always get all over my face, and my head is sparkling like a disco ball by the end of the night. Not cute.

Hey Mathieu! I’ve been experimenting with eyeliner trying to do a cat-eye look. The finished product has more of a halloween egyptian vibe. I want an edgy look that doesn’t come off sloppy. Can you help?? Hope your day is as fabulous as you are darlin.

Hey Mathieu!
Like i said before i LOVE you’re videos you’re very talented and funny and you just make me want to wear make up even to bed! lol, my issue is w/ blush i mean i know how to contour and i have it down to a T but when it comes to highlight my cheeks or apply blush to them idk how i can do that w/o making my face look even wider since i have a round shaped face. I’m Puerto Rican so im a little tanned and i also have like no clue what color blushes/bronzers/highlighters will look good on me. PLEASE help! cause w/o the blush to me my make up doesnt seem complete.
