Amanda Seyfried, who you might know as Lily Kane on Veronica Mars, or from her starring roles on Big Love, Mean Girls, or Mama Mia, is set to play a crazy girl named Babydoll in the upcoming movie Sucker Punch. The Watchmen and 300 director Zack Snyder co-wrote the script, and will direct.

Here’s the official description of Sucker Punch from The Hollywood reporter:
Set in the 1950s, “Sucker Punch” follows a girl who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.
Snyder says the movie is like “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns.” Sounds awesome.
