A philosopher once said that “All good things come to an end.”  That philosopher: Nelly Fortado. Perhaps she was talking about relationships, but more likely she was talking about the series finales of quality television shows.

Today, E! Online has a list of the “Top 9 Best Ever TV Series Finales,” and Buffy The Vampire Slayer makes the cut at #5, right between Six Feet Under and Kids In The Hall. Friends famous season finale didn’t make the top 9, but I bet it was like 10 or 11. You can see the full list and story here.

Warning: This is pretty brutal. This is a domestic violence PSA running in England starring Keira Knightley. The whole Chris Brown/Rihanna incident has reminded the word that domestic abuse doesn’t just happen in Lifetime movies. Knightley agreed to do the ad because “while domestic violence exists in every section of society we rarely hear about it.”

Gadget Thursday: Bad Decision Blocker

Is an iPhone application a gadget? I think they answer is yes. Let’s go with it.

Today’s “gadget” is the Bad Decision Blocker . It blocks you from making calls or emails to certain people on your contact list during a set amount of time. Basically, it prevents you from “drunk dialing” your boss, your ex-boyfriend, or your mom when your judgment has been impaired from too much liquor or candy.

It only costs $.99, which may explain why their 7 minute long “infomercial” for the Bad Decision Blocker looks like a c+ high school video project.

Watch the video, after the jump!

WBaby for Scott Wolf

First, Alyson Hannigan. Now, Scott Wolf. It seems everyone is having a baby this week. I hope I’m not next because I CANNOT get pregnant right now.

Anyway, Everwood and Party Of Five star Scott Wolf and wife Kelley welcomed a baby boy into the world this week. Wolf told People.com that their new boy, Jackson Kayse Wolf, “…is the most fun person we have ever met.”

Kelly Wolf used to be on The Real World: New Orleans, so I guess when people stop being polite, and start getting real, babies happen. Congrats to the happy couple.

They grow up so fast. Josh Schwartz, creator of The O.C., Chuck, Gossip Girl, and Rockville CA, is set to make his feature directional debut with a new adaptation of the 1984 novel Bright Lights, Big City. Schwartz is also writing the new script.

The novel was previously adapted into a film in 1989, and starred Michael J. Fox, Kiefer Sutherland, Phoebe Cates, and Pushing Daisies’ Swoosie Kurtz.

Congrats, Mr. Schwartz. This is just a suggestion, but how about Adam Brody in the Michael J. Fox role?

Justin Timberlake Brings Action Back

This is trailer for the new Justin Timberlake produced reality show, The Phone. I’ve always wanted a reality show where the contestants really are in danger of dying in a warehouse explosion, and this looks like it comes close. But I have a feeling there’s not much actual danger involved. If there was, I think the contestants would be entitled to more than just $50,000.

Britney Is A Candie’s Girl

It seems like just a few years ago, Britney Spears was a bald crazy person. She appears to have pulled it together, cause she looks not crazy and actually pretty sexable in this new campaign she is doing for Candie’s.

The WB’s own Beau Quillian styled the shoot, although unlike the commercial for Britney’s Circus tour, there’s no photographic evidence this time. You just have to trust us.

If the video wasn’t enough, check out the poster for the campaign after the jump.

Heidi Montag Sings Again

Some girls are content to be rich and famous just because they are on a reality show. But not Heidi Montag. Heidi dreams bigger. She wants to be rich and famous because she is on a reality show and also because she’s a singer. The Hills star premiered her new song, “Look How I’m Doing” this morning in Los Angeles on the On Air With Ryan Seacrest show.

Montag has a kind of breathy delivery that reminds me a little of Britney Spears, and the song features thought provoking lyrics like ‘I showed you a kiss that they do in France,” and “ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.”

Behind The Music With Alex Patsavas

Ever wonder why a lot of Josh Schwartz shows like Gossip Girl and The O.C. have  such amazing soundtracks? A big part of it is music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, who Schwartz teamed up with to create Rockville CA. As part of their cover story on Gossip Girl, Rolling Stone examined how Patsavas meshes music with the narrative in a story called “Gossip Girl’s Top Music Moments” I have a feeling the process works the same on other Schwartz/Patsavas collaborations…like Rockville CA.

Taryn Southern Gets Fleshy

taryn1You may have heard that Sorority Forever star Taryn Southern was getting her own show on MTV . But buried in an article in Variety about her new talent agency (ICM, contrats, btw) I learned that Southern just finished up a movie with Malcolm McDowell called Pound of Flesh .

MalcolmMcDowell.us calls the movie “great,” but other than that, it’s hard to find information on it . We’ll bring you more updated information as we get it.
