Mini dresses, gladiator sandals, oversized sunglasses and Marc Jacobs. We’ve clearly already put our own stamp on fashion for the 21st century, but if the WB is bringing it all back, why can’t we delve into the old looks as well?
If there’s one thing I can do while re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it’s to reminisce over all the clothes I used to wear back in High School. Yes, this dates me, but LISTEN. This isn’t about how old I am. This is about how Buffy was THE and still should be THE trend setting vampire slayers of all vampire slayers.
Take a look at the Buffy photo gallery. Remember the dark matte lipstick? The slim knee length skirts? We haven’t even thought about flats with buckles or tunic tops. We’re focusing on chunky heels, chunky highlights and shirts cut above the belly button. We’re talking daisies in our hair and dark lip liner. We’re talking P-H-A-T.
Okay. I’m kidding about the P-H-A-T. That was never in style and never will be in style.
Oh, Buffy, you’re made me realize that I shouldn’t be embarrassed to look at photographs from the 1990’s. I should embrace it. I looked hot with my high waist jeans, baby barrettes and bright orange tank tops. And my faux-Jennifer Aniston haircut? It was ALL the rage.
Unless you’re asking me to wear those high waist janes again. Seriously? I’d die first.

Not since Madonna has the wearing of crucifixes been so relevant. So Awesome to have this retrospective online.
