What’s scarier than a spider? If you said a camel, you are wrong. But the camel spider is still pretty freaking scary. Here’s a video of one. It looks like their jaws have claws on the end. I wouldn’t be surprised if those claws had smaller jaws on the end.
Normally camel spiders are found places like Afghanistan, but finding one someplace where it isn’t supposed to be makes it all the scarier. It’s like finding your toothbrush out in the living room. How did it get there!?!
A family in England thinks they have one of the terrifying spiders living in their house. One of the family members just came back from Afghanistan, and they think the spider snuck in via a rucksack. (If I was someplace where these things lived, I’d be spending all my time making sure that they weren’t sneaking into where I keep my pants)
So they spotted the spider, and abandoned their home. I guess it was a slow news day, so news crews in England went out and shot a story on it. You can see it here.
I like the part when the lady says she’s not going to “not going to be living in a house with a spider we know nothing about”, like if the spider dropped off his resume and a short bio, they’d feel more comfortable with is crawling through their sheets at night.
They also say the spider is the size of a human hand. Whose hand? Shaq? Prince? Hands come in different sizes, you know.
