The WB’s Favorite Things: Green Fashion

Green LA Girl has compiled a list of affordable and eco-friendly fashion stores for anyone looking for a last minute gift. (C’mon, people. Chrismukkah is less than a week away and you’re STILL shopping for presents?)

Under The Canopy
is offering a 50% off coupon on their entire site and Equita has a 35% off coupon with the code HOLIDAYTREAT. In these hard times, these discounts sound perfect for a green Christmukkah.

These deals expire before December 25th so make sure you shop now!

Green Loop also has a wide selection of eco-friendly jewelry and clothing under $50 for those who are conscientious shoppers.

Settle old scores with the holiday spirit! Check out these I Buy/You Buy dice (complete with leather case) from Jack Spade. For only $55, you can finally end those awkward moments at the end of dinner with your friends (or parents).

I wonder if they make versions that only say “You Buy” cause I’d definitely spend $55 on those.

As pretty as it is, wrapping paper has got to be the biggest waste of the holidays. And who wants to wrap their gifts with old newspapers?

Fortunately, companies like Seltzer Goods sell 100% post-consumer recycled gift wrap paper in the cutest designs. The designs come in individual 20” x 30” sheets for $3.25, which is a bit pricey for something that’s just gonna get ripped off on December 25th. But I like to think that with great environmental friendly power come great environmental friendly responsibilities, which means forking over more money to save the world.

Burger King’s new cologne, FLAME, may be a good gift for that meathead friend of yours. This week, the fast food chain announced their new stocking stuffer, a new body spray that features the scent of flame-broiled meat.

Yum!

The cologne is available to purchase online but unfortunately does not offer accompanying perfumes that smell like onions, pickles and/or ketchup. Boo!

The WB’s Favorite Things: Cake Monkey

Foods always make good gifts. They taste good. At least, they should taste good but they always make me feel good, nonetheless.

If you’re looking for the cutest addition to the holiday dinner table, try the miniature layer cakes from Cake Monkey. The bakery is based in Los Angeles, but they now offer nationwide overnight shipping!

So order their Pink Peppermint Cake ($7.00 each), Pink Peppermint Cakewiches ($3.75 each) or Candy Cane Meringue Cookies ($10 per dozen) or even a holiday gift box of 3 different kinds of cake! They even have a special holiday menu to celebrate Chrismukkah!

These look delish, so I hope someone I know is reading this right now. Hint hint.

The WB’s Favorite Things: The Poster List

You don’t have to be a college student to decorate your walls with posters. Or maybe you ARE a college student looking to fill up those empty spaces?

Check out The Poster List for a fun Chrismukkah gift for the art-inclined; each design is produced and designed in-house and only available through their site. They’ve got an array of posters perfect for any hipster girl or boy—and even those hipster haters.

There’s even a 2 for $20 deal going on right now until the end of the month. So buy one for a friend and one for yourself!

Lush up your life with this licorice and vanilla scented bubble bar that looks just like snowman outside on the lawn. The bar is rolled in coconut and smells like British licorice allsorts, making it just right as a stocking stuffer or office mate gift.

And with Frothy selling for under $6? This is the perfect gift during an imperfect recession.

LUSH bath products make the best gifts ever. Not only are they fun to display in your bathroom, fun to use and chock full of organic goodness, they also make sure your friends and family smell nice and clean.

The WB’s Favorite Things: Bacon Ornaments

Everyone knows that 2008 has been the Year of Bacon. (Personally, I thought it should have been the Year of Pork Belly but we can only take one step at a time when it comes to the deliciousness of America’s other white meat.)

You can peruse the awesome Bacon Today blog or make another turbaconducken OR you can decorate your Christmas tree with these angel and devil bacon ornaments!

These handmade ornaments also come in magnetic form if you ever feel like bacon-ifying your fridge.

Check out the other delightful plush toys from Sappy Moose Tree!

The WB’s Favorite Things: Chivas Skin Care

Add a goat twist to your holidays with gift sets from Chivas Skin Care, which uses milk from French Alpine goats in all of their products. It’s especially moisturizing and nourishing due to its pH balance and high vitamin levels. Plus, Daniel Day Lewis drinks it in There Will Be Blood. Do you need any more convincing?

Consider the Chivas Starter Kit with soap, lotion and bath salts for $35 or the 3 Soap Bar Kit for only $28 each.

I personally enjoy the Orange Spice kit, which includes pumpkin pie goodness.

The WB’s Favorite Things: Snow Gear!

It’s the holidays, which means it’s winter! That means in some parts of the country, it’s snowing, which means that for active people, it’s time to hit the slopes.

SteepandCheap is a website that sells premium outdoor gear at discount prices, one product at a time so if you see something you want, you have to act fast before it sells out. And if you’ve got an outdoorsy girl in desperate need of a holiday gift, you’re in luck.

Tomorrow on December 16th, SteepandCheap will be offering special deals on women’s gear from top-name brands, all day long! So instead of trekking out to Sports Chalet or REI, keep your browser open to their site and see if anything like jackets, snowboard bindings and more catch your eye.
