There’s a lot of ways to promote a videogame. Some publishers will buy some  billboards, while others will run TV commercials. Now, one publisher is promoting their game by convincing people to donate their precious bodily fluids.

Encore… announced today they will partner with the American Red Cross to hold a “Dracula” Blood Drive to celebrate the release of the first computer game in their Mystery Adventure Game line, Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon… Each blood donor will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon for the PC as well as other give-aways.

Every person who donates will be entered to win a copy of the game. What Dracula has to do with dragons, I don’t know. Maybe in this game, he’s really, really hungry?

Before you get too excited to give away your blood, this event is only happening in Southern California. People who don’t donate, or who happen to live outside of southern California will have to buy their copy the old fashioned way.

If you can’t afford it, perhaps now is a good time to start selling your plasma.

Since didn’t have a picture of a Dracula for you, please settle for this picture our in-house bloodsucker,  the dreamy, dreamy Angel.
