It used to be that rappers would have to go to prison or get shot before they had street cred. Now rappers are premiering their new videos on daytmime talk shows. Like Kanye West, who premiered his new video for “Love Lockdown” on Ellen.
That’d be like Lil Wayne premiering a video on…um…well, I really can’t think of anywhere weirder to premier a hip-hop video than Ellen. Perhaps on “Are You Smarter Than 5th grader” or “Dr. Phil”
The video seems to be about Kanye’s apartment being so boring he has to fantasize about tribesmen. And the song? The song sounds like T-Pain got in an argument with a robot, and then they added some drums.
