Sheesh, it’s barely January and we’re already crowning the new heroes of 2009. This is completely unfair, as I’ve barely had any time to put together my own plan to save the world.
But I’ll let this one go. Both Capt. Sully Sullenberger and Brittany Cantazaro are being hailed for their heroic moves yesterday during the US Airways Flight 1549 debacle in New York’s Hudson River. “Sully” used his expert piloting moves to safely glide the plane into the river without harm, while the 19 year old Cantazaro was one of the first (and youngest) boat captains to bring her ferry over to rescue the passengers.
Let’s hope their actions inspire us for the rest of the year!
