Airing on one of television’s most competitive nights, Chuck is in danger of not seeing a third season on NBC. If the show doesn’t get picked up, could it be President Barack Obama’s fault?

Obama’s been doing a lot of television addresses since he was elected, and that means he’s been pre-empting a lot of television. Asked about Obama’s effect on prime-time television, NBC president Ben Silverman had this to say:

“I think it hurt “Chuck” — we had the huge 3-D episode, its highest rating in the year, then it was pre-empted the next Monday with no notice.”

That’s not change we can believe in, President Obama. In the future, please preempt crappier shows.

Etta James, who Beyonce covered with her song, At Last, was caught on tape saying,

You know, your president, the one with the big ears — he ain’t my president — had that woman singing for him at his inauguration. She’s going to get her ass whooped … Beyonce … I can’t stand Beyonce.

Ouch. Does this mean James voted for McCain? And if she hates Beyonce so much, then why did Etta allow her to play herself in the upcoming Cadillac Records?

So meet Ariel Binns, a 6-year-old model who was featured last year in a Harper’s Bazaar magazine spread as Sasha Obama with Tyra Banks. The Brooklyn girl was selected for her resemblance to the First Daughter—and it looks like it won’t be the last time!

The Wilhemina Kids modeling agency is reporting an increased demand for models like Binns. Let’s hope the trend will bring more African American faces to our modeling shoots.

The iced tea owners Seth Goldman and Barry Nalebuff knew Obama was one of their biggest customers, when the then Senator called to find out where they could purchase the healthy and lightly-sweetened drinks.

Goldman said that Black Forest Berry (which has no caffeine) is Obama’s Honest Tea of choice now.

Honestly, Obama! Look at you starting a whole new trend. Tea is the new coffee!

Jon Favreau (not the director) is the 27-year-old speechwriter for President Barack Obama. Since Obama fever has been sweeping the nation, Favreau has become somewhat of a heartthrob for lady Obamaheads. (Obamaniacs?)

I’m sorry ladies, but Gawker is reporting that Favreau is now dating a young lady named Ali Campoverdi, who, as you can tell by her Maxim photo, is smoking hot. Not only has she been in Maxim, but Campoverdi works in the White House, and she has a degree from Harvard.

I need to start writing more speeches.

Over a thousand people with purple-area standing room tickets missed the historic Inauguration on Tuesday, all due to a miscommunication between attendees, the event organizers and security.

Now, those ticket holders have banded together on Facebook,

This is a group dedicated to all those with purple, blue or other tickets to the inauguration who braved the early morning cold (and the crowds) only to end up in the proverbial or literal Purple Tunnel of Doom.

So join here if you, too, spent that cold morning in the Third Street Tunnel! Or just join us on our new message boards if you (like me) watched it all from a television set.

Now the word is out. Obama will get to keep his BlackBerry.

Only a small number of close friends and staff members will have his email address. The BlackBerry will also be “enhanced” to be much more secure. But that probably won’t stop Obama from getting emails trying to get him to refinance his mortgage.

Note to spammers: The White House doesn’t have a mortgage.

The Inauguration celebrations are over, and today marks President Obama’s first official day on the job. Usually I would sleep in after so many parties, oaths and parades, but news stations reported seeing the light in the First Family’s private residence on at 5:00am this morning.

Unfortunately, Obama had little time to recover; the Guardian illustrated the new President’s first day in office, which included the tradition of reading the personal letter from the previous President in the Oval Office, freezing the salaries of White House staff who made over $100,000 and a meeting to go over the $825 billion economic recovery plan.

That sounds pretty impressive. Now I feel like a slacker.

One of the most iconic images from the presidential campaign was the “Hope” poster of Obama by artist Shepard Fairey. Now, you can have some of that hope for yourself. The good people over at Paste Magazine have created Obamicon.me, where you can take your photos and give them that iconic look of hope. As you see above, this was my attempt with Rob Corddry from Childrens’ Hospital.

There is it. That’s the signature that will sign bills into laws for the next four years.

So if you’re a waiter, and “Barack Obama” tries to pay with a credit card, reference this picture. If the two signatures don’t match kick that fake Obama right out the Waffle House.
