Sure, anyone can resolve to lose weight or stop smoking, but if you are already thin, or don’t smoke, there are still a few New Year’s resolutions you can make to help out the environment.

My new year’s resolution is to stop poaching elephants, but most of the other resolutions are simpler.

You can check out the whole list at TheDailyGreen.com

You’ve done your shopping, you are wearing your tackiest sweater, and your family is gathered around the tree. (or Menorah or festivus pole) What could make this holiday complete? How about a beloved Christmas story read by a viral video star?

When are we getting the gospels as read by the “Charlie bit my finger” kid?

A house full of dogs puts together the perfect Christmas, except everything is probably covered in slobber and smells like dog.

Just like Christmas at Nana’s!

This is exactly what it sounds like: Penguins in Santa suits. You probably won’t be seeing these guys in person, since they are at an amusement park in South Korea.

This is the time of year when people take a lot of pictures. Our friends over at MomLogic.com put together some tips on how you can look your best when your mom starts taking snapshots (Or, as she calls them, “mad snaps.”)

Some of these tips don’t apply to everyone, (for example, I don’t normally wear makeup) but even the manliest among us could learn how to stand to look thinner in pictures.

As always, if you want to look good year ‘round, you can always get tips from our very own A Boy Wearing Makeup.

Hunky Santa

People think of Santa as an old guy whose belly shakes when he laughs like a bowl full of jelly. But what if he was a ripped young dude with a belly like a bowl full of taut muscle-jelly?

The Beverly Center in Los Angeles (Where else would they have a ripped Santa? Fargo?) features a young, hot Kris Kringle nickmamed Hunky Santa who shares tips on nutrition and exercise.

How did this Santa get so hunky? You can read about it in this Los Angeles Times interview. One thing he doesn’t share is how he gets down those chimneys. I bet it has something do to with abs.

You can also see a photo gallery of Hunky Santa here.

There are a lot of movies on, about, or near Christmas. But why waste time watching the bad ones? (Unless they are really bad, like Santa Claus vs. The Martians.) Rottentomatoes.com has the rundown on the best Christmas movies.

Yes, Die Hard makes the list.

Santa Up Your Online Photos

Flickr users in the house! Flickr has brought back the ability to “Santa-ize” your photos on Flickr with a simple easter egg.

You can add a adjustable-sized Santa hat or beard by adding a note to your pictures. Simply add the note “ho ho ho beard” for the beard, and “ho ho ho hat” for the hat. Make sure you leave off the quotes.

It’s way simpler than trying to grow a real beard for the holidays.
