The show also stars her good friend, Cheryl Hines…but we were more interested to get the scoop on Childrens’ Hospital!

Check it out after the jump!

Are you going to be doing more episodes of Children’s [sic] Hospital?
Yay! Um, yeah, we’re supposed to do season two, and Rob (Corddry) is writing it right now.

Did you call Laura Innes and ask her for some insight on how to play your character?
Laura Innes and I went to college together, so she’s a very good friend of mine. She thinks it’s hilarious; I ran it by her first (before I did it).

It’s a direct take off on her ER character.
It’s kind of.. it’s like… yeah. With the exception of my character is supposed to be repulsively hideously ugly, with a hunchback, and every man wants to fuck her. That’s the joke. That does not apply to Laura Innes. The only thing with Laura is that she had that one crutch. My character has two crutches, two wrist guards, a hunchback and she’s heinously ugly.

Yeah but Laura’s character was a lesbian…
She was a big lesbo. But because of the crutches, I saw Laura and said, “I’m going to do this thing, is that OK?” and she said “I don’t care…”

You became Eva Longoria Parker at the end of the first season, right?
(Laughs) Yeah. I think it’s going to turn out that all the men are really sad because they don’t think that she’s sexy anymore, so I have to change back to what they all wanted.

Yay! Season 2!!!

The man behind the Childrens’ Hospital is The Daily Show’s Rob Corddry, but it also stars Ed Helms, Megan Mullally, Stephen Colbert, and lots of other very, very funny people. I’m deeply unpopular here, so no one has told me an exact premiere date, but I overheard December.
