It’s times like these that make me glad that I don’t live in the UK.
Brits woke up to a sixty-foot robotic spider hanging off of an old building along Liverpool’s Lime Street station. GROSSSSSS.
The spider, which cost around $3.2 million to make (if I can calculate the exchange rate properly), was commissioned for the 2008 Capital of Culture celebrations, and built by La Machine, some crazy art group.
The spider is set to “wake up” tomorrow, climb down the building, bite people and then lay a giant pulsing egg sac, which John Candy tries to destroy with a giant flame-thrower. I know this because I’ve seen Arachnophobia like 4 times.

That’s cool! I can’t wait to see the pulsing egg sac.
